Lowana is an educational centre for girls and young women in Penrith, Western Sydney.
Lowana provides a studious environment and offers tutorial assistance to facilitate academic
development. It also encourages participation in sport and social outreach programs which contribute to a well-rounded education and inspire in students a desire to serve society.
Mentoring is a key feature of the youth centre's success. The young volunteers who run the activities also act as role-models and mentors to the youth centre’s participants.
Mentoring is an informal process that takes place in the positive environment at Lowana through example and friendship.
